Homeschool Explorers - Gardening and Pollinators

When:
Thursday, March 15, 2018 - 10:00am to 1:00pm
Where:

Wall Lowcountry Center Auditorium

Join us as we explore Brookgreen’s “backyard” in an exciting and interactive program that encourages students to use their senses to explore, observe, and investigate the nature around them. Students will observe a variety of plants, trees, animal tracks, homes, and more. They will tour the Cultural Garden and Sensory Trail, where they learn what plants need to live and how to start their own garden.  They also will get the buzz about butterflies and bees, while viewing an active observation bee hive. Students will "bee" educated on the anatomy of bees and butterflies and their essential role in our gardens

For more information, contact Stephanie Atkinson, Coordinator for Nature Education Development, at 843-235-6055 or by using our contact form and choosing education from the drop down menu.
