Full-Time Positions:

Controller

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role plays a crucial part in upholding the financial well-being of our organization. As the Controller, you will have significant responsibility not only for ensuring the organization's financial health but also for maintaining a robust system of internal controls. Your contributions will help facilitate stewardship of resources and foster an environment characterized by transparency, consistency, confidence, and continuous process improvement.

Administrative Receptionist

Performing general office support duties and offering specialized assistance primarily to the finance department, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring smooth operations within our administrative building. Situated in the administrative offices building, the Administrative Specialist always upholds professionalism, serving as the first point of contact for distinguished guests including board members and other esteemed individuals visiting our CEO or other personnel.

Public Exhibits Associate

The Public Exhibits Associate is responsible for learning lighting techniques for Nights of a Thousand Candles, Summer Light: Art by Night, and other Public Exhibits. In addition, the staff member will be responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of all electrical lighting and candle displays for Nights of a Thousand Candle, Summer Light: Art by Night and other Public Exhibits.

The position will require the individual to learn proper lighting techniques, safe use of ladders, safe use and training of a boom lift, comfortable working at heights more than 50 feet.

 

Part-Time Positions:

Historical Interpreter

The interpreter presents historic programs developed by Brookgreen Gardens to the general public and special groups. Program venues include a Creek Excursion and tour vehicles that travel into the backwoods at Brookgreen. The Creek Excursion interpreter rides on a 48 passenger pontoon boat that travels down the waterways bordering the abandoned rice fields.

For their safety and the safety of our animal collection, pets are not allowed, nor can they be left in vehicles inside Brookgreen. Service animals that have received special training to assist disabled persons are welcome.
