Thirty-seven visual artworks encompass paintings, sculpture, textile art,
woodworking, glass and pottery art, nature art, and photography. Many
artworks were inspired by the history and beauty of Brookgreen Gardens and
the Lowcountry. Several artworks were made just for this exhibit. All artists
are active Brookgreen volunteers.
Wonder at the nature art crafted from shells from local beaches. Appreciate
the medals honoring Brookgreen made by artists who learned medal art and
sculpting at Brookgreen’s ‘open to the public’ art classes. Marvel at the design
and craftsmanship talents of textile, glass, and woodworking artists. Be
amazed at the artistry, beauty and diverse styles, materials, and techniques
of the paintings and sculpture in the exhibit.
Artists with artworks in the exhibit will be available every day to discuss the
artworks and exhibit.
