Meet Celebrating Talent exhibit artists on Saturday, March 22, from 10 am - 4 pm! Artists will be available to discuss ‘making art,’ their artworks, and volunteering at Brookgreen, too.
The thirty-seven artworks in the exhibit encompass paintings, sculpture, textile art, woodworking, glass and pottery art, nature art, and photography. Brookgreen's missions and beauty inspired many artworks.
The three artworks pictured in this announcement reflect the artistry, creativity, craftsmanship, and diverse styles, materials, and techniques of the artworks in the exhibit. My Grandmother’s Dresses is a design by quilter Gilma Caslin in memory of her grandmother. Jeff Weis’ Birds of Paradise, an acrylic on wood painting, measures 30 x 54 inches. Robin Salmon, Curator of Sculpture, is a medal designed and sculpted by artist Dan Kraus honoring Brookgreen’s curator.
