Brookgreen volunteers, Ken and Cindy Clark, are devoted to the art and science of water gardening. Graduates of Clemson University’s Master Gardener certificate program, they are members of the horticultural team who meticulously tends to Brookgreen’s water gardens. These gardens showcase a dazzling array of hardy and tropical water lilies, marginals, and the latest addition—the remarkable Victoria 'Longwood Hybrid'.
As members of the International Waterlily & Water Gardening Society, Ken and Cindy are active participants in the global water gardening community. Their commitment to continuing education includes completing Longwood Gardens' specialized online Water Lily course, ensuring they stay at the forefront of water gardening practices and innovation.
In addition to cultivating stunning blooms and sharing their knowledge with others, the Clarks extend their talents to Brookgreen’s Education Department, inspiring visitors of all ages to connect with nature.
