Acer palmatum 'Murasaki kiyohime'
Acer palmatum 'Murasaki kiyohime' is a small deciduous tree or shrub that grows to about four to six feet tall.It is hardy in USDA Zones 5 - 9. Our specimens are grown in part sun and appear to perform well.
'Murasaki kiyohime' is in the Dwarf Group. It has a rounded habit. The leaves emerge as a yellow-green with red margins. As the leaves mature, they age to green, sometimes with subtle white markings on the green. Fall color is yellow, but can also include orange and pinks as well. It is recommended as a bonsai plant.
