It has been our experience that Mimulus × hybridus (Magic™ Mix) performs fairly in our area in cool season plantings. It does best with protection and does not seem to tolerate exposure to cold snaps if not protected. Flowering can often be observed at the time of planting, in the fall, but usually does not occur again until early spring. It is about four inches tall by about twelve inches wide.
