We had about four in this spot originally. We are down to one, which is also in poor health. These originally began to suffer and die during the winter of 2018, when we had an unprecedented amount of rain. These do not like a lot of water.

In 2020, we are now down to one plant that also appears to be in poor health. We have propagated more, but it may take another year or so before they are large enough to put out in the gardens.

They also may have suffered due to the Ophiopogon over crowding them and growing on their root zone as well as right up against them. We hypothesized this may have trapped extra moisture that also led to their demise.
