Attractive plant with showy petioles that creates a lush display. However, this year we faced heavy deer problems that decimated most of the plantings. The plantings at the Restaurant did not have deer damage and did very well. The plantings at the Poetry Garden are still in, and they have since rebounded since the winter and are looking good now.

Recommendation: Use again, perhaps with some sort of deer deterent
