At the end of 2022 this rose, another 'Belinda's Dream' in a different part of the Poetry Garden, and 'Mandarin Ice' in a different part of the Poetry Garden all seemed to have some issue. I tend to think it was cane borers, as it didn't seem to present as any disease I was familiar with (which doesn't mean it wasn't a disease!). The pith was not hollow that I saw, but the dieback was pretty quick and only affect some parts of the plants at a time. Regardless, this rose did not come back in the spring and was removed.
