Originally planted in URW11 to replace another tree that had died or was in poor health. It wound up growing too fast and too large for its space, resulting in an awkward planting in the landscape. Originally, the plan was to rent a tree spade and remove the tree from the URW and bring it to the ARB, to be placed amongst the other conifers. Funding was not granted for this project for two consecutive years, leaving the tree to continue growing too large, and getting to a point that relocating it, even with a tree spade, was no longer viable. It was cut down.
