Originally planted in URW11. It was relocated to ARB02 so it could be amongst the other conifers. It is believed the soil conditions would be better for this, as the soil is very well drained, which is necessary for the success of this plant. Further, there is no overhead irrigation in this area in ARB02, whereas there was overhead irrigation in URW11 that was regularly hitting into the plant. It was suspected that the discoloration on the foliage was due to being hit by the overhead irrigation. It is believed this new location will be conducive for its long term outlook, and ideally will give it the space it would need to grow large without obstructing paths or causing peril to visitors.
